Este álbum marca un cambio radical en el sonido de la banda comparado con sus álbumes anteriores; El uso de una orquesta real en vez de un teclado tradicional le da a este álbum una atmósfera más tétrica. Además, las guitarras tienen mayor presencia en el álbum, con un sonido mas estruendoso y rápido. El teclado y las líneas orquestrales son un poco más escasas que en Enthrone Darkness Triumphant y Spiritual Black Dimensions y finalmente se nota un sonido más experimental como en la canción "Puritania" (la cual tiene mucha influencia de Industrial Metal).

Death Cult Armageddon es un álbum de estudio de la banda noruega de black metal Dimmu Borgir, lanzado el 8 de septiembre del 2003. Este álbum ha vendido más de 100,000 copias en EE. UU.; el primero que lanza Nuclear Blast causando gran revuelo; y debutando en el Billboard 200 en la posición 169.1 También se lanzaron videoclips de las canciones "Progenies of the Great Apocalypse" y "Vredesbyrd". Además el tema "Progenies of the great apocalypse" cuenta con la participación de Abbath de Immortal, al igual que la canción "Heavenly Perverse", también la canción "Eradication Instincts Defined" apareció como música de fondo del "trailer" de la película Hellboy. "Eradication Instincts Defined" también fue usada en el "trailer" de la película Stardust. Algunas partes del álbum fueron grabadas con la Orquesta Filarmónica de Praga.

For All Tid ( "Por siempre" o "Por todos los tiempos" en idioma noruego) es el primer álbum de estudio del grupo Black metal sinfónico noruego Dimmu Borgir. Fue grabado y mezclado en Stovner Rockefabrikk entre agosto y diciembre de 1994, publicado en 1994 y re-publicado en 1997 con su nuevo sello discográfico Nuclear Blast. La obra representada en la portada del álbum está inspirado por Gustave Doré de la ilustración de Camelot de El Rey Idilios. Cuenta con un sonido más clásico dentro del Black Metal; en general más crudo en comparación con sus otros discos, más cercano al Black Metal Melódico.
